Q&A with Miss Deveraux

Most people think I'm an introvert, the quiet girl, the one lurking in the corner of a high-end coffee shop, sipping my chai tea, glancing at them, glancing at you. I certainly look the part. To see me, you'd think I belonged in the forest, running free with a group of sweet-faced fairies instead of sitting in front of my laptop, feverishly penning my next racy scene.

Maybe I am introverted. Or maybe, just maybe, I'm a proper girl in public, and an entirely different girl in private. Read my books. Tell me what you think.

Q&A with Miss Deveraux

I'd like to thank my fans for sending in questions. Keep 'em coming ;)

Q. Are you anything like the characters you write about?

A. If we're talking about the women, yes. In some ways, I'm like all of them. It depends on the day. Happy, frustrated, shy, outgoing, funny, timid. I'm all of these things.

Q. What's your favorite beverage?

A. Alcoholic? Anything I can add a shot of vodka to if it's date night. With dinner, Moscato. I like things sweet.

Q. Your School of Sex series is set in Vegas. Have you been there? Do you live there?

A. I've never lived in Las Vegas, but I've been there many, many times. I try to visit once or twice a year if I can.

Q. What happens after the School of Sex series ends?

I'm currently penning another series. But don't be surprised if you see the girls from School of Sex reappear now and then too.

Q. What do you like to do when you're not writing?

I enjoy cooking. I enjoy trying new recipes and creating dishes from scratch, but truly, there's nothing I'd rather do than write. Well, almost nothing ;)

Q. In Passion, there's a lesson to be learned. Will all your stories be this way?

I like writing about real life situations. As women, we all struggle from time to time. Loss, infidelity, dishonesty, infertility, weight... We all have our own story to tell. I want my characters to connect. I want you to read my stories and feel hope, feel uplifted, to remember you're a strong, powerful woman, and you can do anything. This is the message I share with you. Empower yourself. You can do it.

And as for the romance, the tastefully written sex scenes, well...that's the icing on the cake. ;)
